Our Emergency Dentistry Services

Dental emergencies are sudden and tend to occur at the most inconvenient times. If you or your loved one is experiencing a serious oral injury or severe pain, don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Radwa Sobieh at Winchester Dental Studio. Patients from Winchester, Stephen City, Stephenson City, Boyce Town, Clear Brook, Gainesboro, Hayfield, Nain, White Hall, Round Hill and beyond, VA are welcome to schedule same-day emergency appointments for treatment as soon as possible. We can even see you on Saturday!

What constitutes a dental emergency? We trust patients’ judgment in these cases, but if you feel unsure, here are some of the incidents our team considers urgent:

  • A lost tooth
  • A partially dislodged tooth
  • A cracked or chipped tooth
  • Significant pain associated with the mouth and/or jaw
  • A serious toothache
  • An object stuck between the teeth
  • A lost/broken filling, crown, or bridge
  • Injuries involving your soft tissue
  • Abscesses in the root or gums

The majority of dental emergencies occur because of a sudden incident or injury that couldn’t be avoided. However, there are some situations where patients can better protect themselves and their smiles. Always use scissors instead of your teeth to open difficult packaging. Be very careful when eating particularly hard or sticky foods. When playing a sport that could involve contact with another person or a tough surface, make sure to wear a sportsguard.

Of course, there are some situations where even Dr. Radwa Sobieh may not be able to provide assistance fast enough. If you’re experiencing heavy bleeding or a broken jaw, don’t wait. Proceed to an emergency room. Our Winchester team can follow up after you’ve received medical attention to assist with any dental concerns, such as lost or broken teeth. Contact us today to schedule an appointment, or if you simply have questions. We’re always happy to help.
